A partnership between educational organisations in upper secondary vocational education and the economy will be carried out to analyse the needs of the skills and competences of teachers of professional subjects in secondary machine school programmes. We will also learn about good practices and experience in secondary vocational education in Norway.
Lessons learned will be used to develop a combined learning model for teaching in secondary vocational education in secondary machine school programmes.
With the new combined (hybrid) learning model, we will develop new methods of learning and teaching in secondary vocational education, with a focus on skills and competences for the 21st century.
The model will be linked to a digital learning tool that will enable digital teaching and enable the evaluation of pupils’ progress.
Teaching materials for pupils for professional content in secondary machine school programmes will be intended for the independent work of students at home or in class. The manuals will enable teachers to better understand the digital learning environment and to use it in teaching.
Live and online, The New Year will provide multiplier training to expand the developed model and wider group of teachers. Pilot training will also be carried out in six school centres with a programme for mechanical engineering.
“We work together for a green, competitive and inclusive Europe.”
The Combined Learning Model for Secondary Vocational Education in Mechanical Engineering and the Development of Competences of Students and Teachers for Digital Education is co-financed by Norway with funding from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism of EUR 823.296. The aim of the project is to develop an innovative hybrid model for education in professional programs in the field of mechanical engineering.
